Casualties not recorded on our War Memorials
As well as those recorded on the War Memorials of our town there are also a number of members of the Armed Forces, who are buried in our cemeteries and whose graves are recorded on the Commonwealth War Graves Commission databases. The majority of these were men stationed in this area, but not necessarily local men, and others died after the declarations of peace. It seems appropriate that their service and sacrifice should also be recorded here where they came to rest.
